From mid-May to mid-July we have midnight sun on the Varanger Peninsula.

8 weeks of daylight makes the summer intense. Everything should happen fast. The birds should

lay eggs and bring out young. Plants should germinate and grow.

Humans and animals are filled with a new energy, everything must happen quickly before a new winter arrives

harvested at record speed. We spend as much time as we can out in the energizing

the light! Now all batteries must be charged before a long winter!

Everything comes to life

Nature has really come to life. The salmon jumps in the waterfalls on their way to theirs

spawning grounds. The saithe bounces on the fjord. The hare cubs are everywhere. The birds

acknowledges 24/7. And you can see owls hunting in the midnight sun. For the owls must too

hunt in daylight when the sun does not set in 8 weeks.
