About Nord Varanger visitor center
We are located in Vestre Jakobselv. The heart of Nord Varanger. In the middle between the national tourist road and the Varanger Peninsula National Park. We want to convey the rich history, culture and nature of North Varanger. We want everyone to gain knowledge and be able to experience this beautiful and special area of Norway. Where borders meet, immigration has built culture. Where we must live in harmony with the forces of nature.
We want to connect past and present. Local and visiting. For the exchange of knowledge, create good experiences and create lasting memories.

the visitor center in bygdeveien 100 in Vestre Jakobsel is open from 1 June - 31 August from 12-18 daily.
But all year round we are available by phone and email. And open by appointment.
